The copywriter on this campaign, Molly, had this to say: “We didn’t actually travel back in time. We just shot these as if they were in the ’30s, before we had social media, to put GEICO’s age into perspective. Did you actually think we made a time machine?”
As a cat, I’m glad we’re seeing some representation in advertising. However, that bonnet is not flattering at all.
They left a man alone with his thoughts. Without a cell phone. For who knows how long. That’s just cruel.
