“Baby You’re So Efficient” and 7 Other Song Titles That Will Immediately Land You a Commercial Deal
Sick of hearing “Low” by Flo Rida in every commercial? Well Flo Rida isn’t, because he’s raking in millions on the song that’s perfect for any company that wants to talk about how “low” their prices are (literally every single company). So instead of envying Flo Rida, produce your own song that’ll have companies throwing money at you. Here are just a few ideas:
1 - “More More More”
Anything with the idea of “more.” If you want to be really on the nose, make it a ballad about “more for less.”
2 - “Baby, You Could Save (Me)”
Make sure the word “me” is really quiet so a smarmy voice actor can dub in “money” over it with no problem. It’s also important to use the word “could” here because companies can’t promise that people “can” save money. Probably would work best as a country song, but up to you.
3 - “Special Delivery: My Heart”
This is how you land a deal with any company who does delivery. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to throw in a hook where a featured artist just raps a bunch of items that could be delivered: tacos, pizza, medicine, etc. etc. It doesn’t have to rhyme. I don’t know, R&B?
4 - “Service Me”
Just a whole song all about doing the deed, but in customer service terms (I’m open 24/7, enter me anytime). Companies will not get the double entendres, they’ll just be so enthused that a song actually contains the words “find a store near you” even if those words are followed by “and eat my fish sandwich in the bathroom.”
5 - “Freedom Tastes So Good!”
You can replace “freedom” with any word. Just make sure to describe how something is good-tasting in every way imaginable: tangy, sweet, quality ingredients, refreshing, replenishes electrolytes. Go ahead and make it a dubstep hit. Some “edgy” food company will gladly use it in their next ad campaign.
6 - “[Product] is Integral in Human Connections”
Insert whatever product you want to use and I guarantee you have just put their brand strategy into a song title. And they’ll feel so smart for finding your song and using it.
7 - “Get a Quote Online”
This is a tricky one, but if you write it well enough, you could pretend the “quote” is a metaphor for “love” and “online” is “the world.” Or you could just have a robot voice saying the same thing over and over in some sorta 100 gecs style and not even worry about what anything means.
Hope this helps! And I look forward to using your songs when I feel lazy!
